Parvati Kalyanam : Sonnet - 2
Trees and plants, added the colourful background,
scented flowers dotted, the pathways of her palace;
swans came in herds, to watch their lovely friend,
birds sang and danced, to bring her cheer and solace.
Wind and Sun paid, their respects, and obeisance,
pets and friends, played with her, in joy and bliss;
Nature pivoted around, to mark her royal presence,
Princess Parvati is undoubtedly, the “Mother Goddess”.
Hermit Narad came by, to visit Himavat,
revealed that Parvati shall marry, a simple ascetic;
gloom of the Royal palace, wore off with retreat,
reckoning asserted, that Lord Shiv, is an ascetic.
Shiv Parvati forged, the entire existence,
encompassing time and space, as Nature’s confluence.
